Scale of human mobility in the southern Andes (Argentina and Chile)
Despite the large socio-economic changes recorded, 87 Sr/ 86 Sr values indicate a persisting scenario of low systematic mobility between the different geological regions. Our results suggest that strontium isotope values provide the most germane means to track patterns of human occupation of distinct regions in complex geological landscapes, offering a much higher spatial resolution than oxygen isotopes in the southern Andes

En este trabajo presentamos las evidencias arqueolgicas en relacin a la extincin de la fauna pleistocnica en Patagonia meridional. Los sitios con componentes pleistocnicos estudiados para esta zona son Cueva Tnel y Casa del Minero 1 ubicados en la localidad arqueolgica La Mara. Scale of human mobility in the southern Andes (Argentina and Chile)
Despite the large socio-economic changes recorded, 87 Sr/ 86 Sr values indicate a persisting scenario of low systematic mobility between the different geological regions. Our results suggest that strontium isotope values provide the most germane means to track patterns of human occupation of distinct regions in complex geological landscapes, offering a much higher spatial resolution than oxygen isotopes in the southern Andes
