The 1963 film adaptation of William Golding's 1954 novel of Lord of the Flies has become a classic of US Independent Cinema. Beyond authenticity
This paper explores the relationship between postmodern ethnographic and experimental filmmaking. Recent shifts in both modes of film praxis away from modernist paradigms of anthropology and aesthetics have disclosed a rich field of nonscientific, non‐visionary common ground. Dietary surveys from the Tokelau Island migrant study
The dietary studies carried out as part of the Tokelau Island Migrant Study are reviewed. The traditional diet in Tokelau, based on coconut, fish and breadfruit staples, is high in saturated fat and lower in cholesterol and carbohydrate relative to the diet commonly consumed by the Tokelau migrants to New Zealand, where a varied food choice from dairy products, meat, cereals, fruit and vegetables is available.
