W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań nieinwazyjnych, realizowanych w ramach projektu naukowego pt. „Castra Terrae Culmensis – na rubieży chrześcijańskiego świata”. Obejmowały one szerokopłaszczyznowe rozpoznanie za pomocą pomiarów magnetometrycznych i geofizycznych oraz naziemny skaning laserowy, które stanowiły podstawą do badań archeologicznych, prowadzonych w 2017 i 2018 roku
New historical data on the Teutonic Order crusades in Prussia
In 2016–2018 in Starogród, in historical Chełmno Land in northern‐central Poland, remains were discovered of a stronghold (convent house) of the Knights of the Teutonic Order that was founded in the 1230s. After a search lasting more than 100 years, remains were also discovered of the oldest and repeatedly translocated city of Chełmno, which was founded by the German Knights at the same time. Marea/Northern Hawwariya is one of the largest and most important archaeological sites dating between the 3rd century BC and the 8th century AD located at Lake Mareotis in northern Egypt.
