    Open Access•Xin Guo, Qiaomei Fu•ARTICLE•Sociological Methods & Research•2024•Cited by: 1•References: 45

Grouped and right-censored (GRC) counts have been used in a wide range of attitudinal and behavioural surveys yet they cannot be readily analyzed or assessed by conventional statistical models. This study develops a unified regression framework for the design and optimality of GRC counts in surveys. To process infinitely many grouping schemes for the optimum design, we propose a new two-stage algorithm, the Fisher Information Maximizer (FIM), whi…

Open Access•Hongyan Li, Xianxian Duan et al.•ARTICLE•Social Behavior and Personality…•2023

The traditional corporate employment relationship in China has changed under the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, but how to attract core talent remains an urgent challenge for companies to address. Using the stereotype content model, we constructed a moderated mediation model to explore the mechanism and boundary conditions of the effect of perceived corporate social responsibility (CSR) on job seekers. We conducted two mock recruitment experime…

  • Neoliberalization and inequality

Yushu Zhu, Yue Yuan et al.•ARTICLE•Housing Studies•2023•Cited by: 8•References: 23

The neoliberalization of housing policy and housing financialization have brought unequal impacts on housing outcomes. Drawing on eight waves of census data, this study uncovers the changing mechanism of housing stratification in selected Canadian census metropolitan areas from 1981 to 2016, a period when Canada transitioned from a welfare housing regime to a neoliberal regime. This study reveals entrenched housing inequality and strengthened inc…

Open Access•Yue Yuan, Jiaxin Gu et al.•ARTICLE•Population Space and Place•2021•Cited by: 1•References: 11

Methodological advances in demographic research, especially age‐period‐cohort (APC) analysis, primarily focus on developing new models yet often fail to consider practical concerns in empirical analysis. We propose a mixed approach that integrates multiple data imputation and structural change analysis in time series so that scholars can (i) construct pseudo age groups based on more coarsely grouped age data and (ii) identify temporal anomalies. …

    Open Access•Qiaomei Fu, Qiang Fu et al.•ARTICLE•American Behavioral Scientist•2015•Cited by: 7•References: 24

Although changes in urban space often mean a restructuring of social relations, few studies elucidate why network-related frameworks are inherently related to residential outcomes in urban neighborhoods. By proposing a relational account of neighborhood governance, we investigate outcomes of neighborhood governance by incorporating a series of measures of network forms of organization, network-based social capital, and neighborly interactions.
