A Novel Framework to Group Decision Making Problems With Interval Multiplicative Preference Relations by Using Stochastic Simulation
Group decision making (GDM) problems with interval multiplicative preference relations (IMPRs) contain uncertain preference information from the decision makers (DMs). To help the DMs make decision quickly and accurately, this article proposes a novel framework to GDM problems with IMPRs by combining the ELECTRE III method with stochastic simulation. First, the stochastic multiplicative preference relations are derived by stochastic simulation, t…
Stochastic Group Preference Analysis Framework for Interval Multiplicative Preference Relations
Stable Isotopic Study on Horse Feeding Strategies in the Zhou Dynasty of Ancient China
Horses played a crucial role in military, ritual, and labor activities in ancient China, but our knowledge of their feeding practices is mostly limited to literature records. To investigate how this important livestock was fed in the Zhou Dynasty (1046–220 bce ), this study analyzed stable carbon and nitrogen isotopes of fifty bone and five tooth samples from horses discovered in Sanmenxia, Luoyang, and Zhengzhou of Henan Province. Bone isotope d…

Diet of the Chanyu and his people
This study was designed to study the effect of social stratification on human diet in the Xiongnu society. Human remains unearthed from three different sites in western and northern Mongolia were analyzed for stable carbon and nitrogen isotope values. The results demonstrate that a certain amount of C4 component was consumed by people of different social levels. The three noble individuals from terrace tombs at the Gol Mod 2 site ate a similar di…
Consensus-Based Linguistic Distribution Large-Scale Group Decision Making Using Statistical Inference and Regret Theory
Interdisciplinary study on dietary complexity in Central China during the Longshan Period (4.5–3.8 kaBP)
Central China is one of the key regions of the world that sees the transition from early Neolithic urbanization into the social complexity of Bronze Age civilizations. Previous evidence had indicated that the diets of humans and the feeding strategies of livestock in Central China during the Longshan Period (4.5–3.8 kaBP) became more complex and diverse, including the widespread introduction of cattle and sheep, and the coexistence of different h…
Stories behind the fortress
Stable carbon and nitrogen isotope analysis of 15 individuals buried closed to Bayanbulag site or the Shouxiangcheng fortress in southern Mongolia revealed complex dietary features. Only one individual had a diet similar to that of the pastoral population in northern China, while the others, who had varying carbon isotope values and low nitrogen values, might have been from different agricultural areas. 14 C dating results suggest that the earlie…
Social stratification and human diet in the Eastern Zhou China
A Hybrid Forecasting Approach to Air Quality Time Series Based on Endpoint Condition and Combined Forecasting Model
Air pollution forecasting plays a vital role in environment pollution warning and control. Air pollution forecasting studies can also recommend pollutant emission control strategies to mitigate the number of poor air quality days. Although various literature works have focused on the decomposition-ensemble forecasting model, studies concerning the endpoint effect of ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) and the forecasting model of sub-ser…
Animal husbandry strategies in Eastern Zhou China
Textual records and archaeological evidence reflect prosperous animal farming in the Eastern Zhou of ancient China (770-220 BC), but knowledge of how these animals were fed is limited. Here, we present the first stable isotopic study investigating animal husbandry strategies of this period. Isotopic features of faunal remains of 5 species discovered in Songzhuang cemetery suggest that pigs and dogs were fed on mixed diets with substantial interna…
Shifting diets and the rise of male-biased inequality on the Central Plains of China during Eastern Zhou
Significance Male-biased inequality in Imperial China imposed strong limitations on the economic and intellectual contribution of women to the society and fostered male-biased resource distribution, because females were subordinated to the priorities of the patriarchal state. Analyzing human skeletal remains from early agricultural and later preimperial archaeological sites, we find no evidence of inequality between males and females in early far…
Obscuring the Line between the Living and the Dead
The complex mortuary rituals practiced during the Han dynasty (206 b.c. to a.d. 220) in China are well documented in textual records dating to the period. However, these records, as well as more recent archaeological investigations, focus solely on mortuary treatment of the elite, completely overlooking the burial rites practiced by commoners in the same period. Based on my excavation of a group of Han dynasty commoner graves, I describe the mort…

Isotopic evidence for the expansion of wheat consumption in northern China
General acteoside of rehmanniae leaves in the treatment of primary chronic glomerulonephritis
The objective of the study was to investigate the effectiveness and efficacy of the randomized, parallel, and controlled trial of Traditional Chinese Medicine, general acteoside of Rehmanniae leaves, compared with piperazine ferulate in the treatment of primary chronic glomerulonephritis. Rehmanniae leaves and piperazine ferulate can reduce proteinuria and erythrocyturia effectively in the treatment of primary chronic glomerulonephritis. A total …
