This study examined the roles of child interpersonal skills, teacher expectations, and school racial and poverty compositions on the quality of relationships formed between teachers and children. This study inventoried the types of developmental and negative experiences that youth encounter in different categories of extracurricular and community-based organized activities. This study was designed to test the theory that adolescents working in a family owned business versus working in a private enterprise would report differences on variables commonly associated with part-time employment.
