  • Ceemdan-decomposed time series forecasting of reported hepatitis B cases using KOA-optimised deep learning

Open Access•ZhenDe Wang, Fengying Bi et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Global Health•2026

Background: Hepatitis B remains a leading notifiable infection in mainland China, with a persistent burden shaped by chronic reservoirs, varied immunity, and shifting surveillance practices. Reliable short- to medium-term forecasts of reported hepatitis B cases are therefore valuable for planning diagnostics, care pathways, antiviral supply, and targeted prevention. Methods: , Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Absolut…

Urban cafés exhibit higher English prevalence with pre-nominal modification, while rura…

  • Cross-cohort insights into the association of handgrip strength transitions and burdens with cardiovascular disease risk

Open Access•Hua Lin, Jike Qi et al.•ARTICLE•SSM - Population Health•2026

Background: Previous studies established handgrip strength (HGS) as a potential risk factor for cardiovascular diseases (CVD). However, existing studies focused exclusively on baseline HGS and neglected longitudinal changes in HGS during follow-up. Thus, our aim was to investigate the associations of transitions and dynamic burdens of HGS with incident CVD risk. Methods: We analyzed data from the UK Biobank (UKB), the China Health and Retirement …

  • Strategic Pathways to Decarbonization Through ESG Innovation in High‐Pollution Industries

Open Access•Naiping Zhu, Ke Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Business Strategy and the…•2026

As global decarbonization targets tighten and stakeholder scrutiny intensifies, firms in high‐emission industries face growing pressure to translate sustainability commitments into measurable emissions reductions. However, evidence remains limited regarding which ESG dimensions most effectively drive decarbonization and through which mechanisms, particularly in emerging‐economy contexts. This study examines how ESG strategies influence decarboniz…

  • The Introduction of Chinese Plants into the United States

Open Access•Silun Chen, Xuhao Hu et al.•ARTICLE•Histories•2026

Since the 19th century, the United States has continuously conducted plant introductions from around the world to expand high-quality germplasm resources for agriculture and horticulture. Beginning in 1898, China—shaped by millennia of agrarian civilization and characterized by exceptionally rich biodiversity—became a key focus of these efforts. To clarify the historical trajectory of the introduction of plants originating in China into the U.S.,…

In this study, we conducted a scientometric analysis of publications retrieved from Web of Science (WOS) and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). The initial search yielded a total of 2122 PYD-related publications (2006-2025). After screening, 406 publications from the WOS database and 206 from the CNKI database were finally included in the …

  • Unravelling the role of inflammatory markers in coronary artery disease risk via association, mediation and prediction analyses

Open Access•Hao Zhang, Heng Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Global Health•2026

Background: Systemic inflammation plays a critical role in coronary artery disease (CAD), yet comprehensive profiling of inflammatory markers and their integration into predictive models remain incompletely characterised. We here sought to identify key CAD-related inflammation markers and construct an integrated inflammatory risk score (IRS) to enhance conventional cardiovascular risk prediction. Methods: Associations between 18 complete blood co…
