This article is a sociolinguistic study of the impact of four independent variables (age, sex, education and region of origin) on loanword pronunciation in Czech. Investigation of Periodicity in Crisis Intervention Calls over an Eight-Year Span
Over an 8-yr. period 36,268 calls were received by the Crisis Intervention Center of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between lunar phases and crisis calls. Pearson correlations were performed but no significant values were obtained.
