Recent Mortality Patterns and Trends in Poland
Recent mortality trends and patterns in Poland are analyzed. The relationship between mortality and selected demographic and socioeconomic factors is investigated. Emphasis is on the analysis of cause-specific mortality patterns during the 1970s with a focus on sex and age differentials in deaths due to cancer cardiovascular disease and violence. Issues concerning data availability and quality are also discussed. (ANNOTATION
