Small Area Variation in Homeownership
The aim of the study is two-fold. First, it adds to the existing state-of-the-art housing research by suggesting the implementation of new econometric methodology. Specifically, the study adds to earlier studies of homeownership by adding spatial impacts. It advocates simultaneous adjustment for intra-municipal correlation and heterogeneity as well as spatial spillover patterns between municipalities. It concludes that ignorance of controlling fo…
Outliers and Spatial Dependence in Cross-Sectional Regressions
Outliers are a risk factor in any econometric analysis. They are often observations that exert an excessive influence on the results and lower our confidence in the estimations. As a consequence, the attention given to their identification and treatment in the context of time series is not surprising. Our intention in the present paper is to advance in this same direction but now focusing the discussion on the impact of outliers on cross-sectiona…
A test strategy for spurious spatial regression, spatial nonstationarity, and spatial cointegration
The Institutional Context of Market Ideology

We analyse variations in the adoption of market ideologies and examine plausible explanations for these variations. Four managerial ideal types are constructed, based on their attitudes towards two dimensions of market ideology. Managerial attitudes and perceptions are conceived as embedded in a global process of diffusion hig…
