Training dental hygienists to place interim therapeutic restorations in a school‐based teledentistry program
Oregon's virtual dental home project was successful in training EPDHs to perform ITRs safely in school settings after caries diagnosis by the supervising dentist via teledentistry and in integrating this component into a regular school-based preventive dental program

Emergency Department Visits for Nontraumatic Dental Problems

Child and family health nurses' experiences of oral health of preschool children
This study highlights that oral health problems are a significant segment of the child health problems identified by nurses in their daily work. The nurses perceived the problem of dental caries to be one of a lack of parental knowledge, and families should be educated not only on "what" but also on "how" to feed their children. The primary healthcare team should work collaboratively to educate families in a culturally appropriate way
Early childhood feeding practices and dental caries in preschool children
This study will provide evidence of the association of early childhood feeding practices and the oral health of preschool children. In addition, information will be collected on breastfeeding practices and the oral health concerns of mothers living in disadvantaged areas in South Western Sydney

We conclude that a daily toothbrushing with limited involvement of professional staff was feasible in a Chinese kindergarten and that caries development was significantly slowed in the test children. Caries severity zones may possibly assist in determining levels of intervention
