  • Animal exploitation transformations in relation to geopolitical shifts from the Zhou to Han Dynasty in the Yellow River valley, China

    Open Access•Xin Wang, Jiajia Dong et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2026•References: 7

Spatio-temporal changes in animal exploitation strategies and their influencing factors in the Yellow River valley in China have been extensively reviewed, particularly during the Neolithic to Bronze Age (~8000–1000 BCE). The Zhou to Han Dynasty (1046 BCE–220 CE) witnessed transitions from the era of kingdoms to the imperial age, as well as prehistoric transcontinental exchanges to opening of the Silk Road. However, the importance of geopolitical…

  • The role of circadian rhythm-related genes in type 2 diabetes from a multi-omics perspective

Open Access•Liangxiao Xie, Duobin Huang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Global Health•2025

Background: Recent studies have established a connection between circadian rhythm disruption and the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), yet the underlying genetic mechanisms remain inadequately understood. This research aims to elucidate the causal relationships between circadian rhythm-related genes and T2DM by utilising a multi-omics approach. Methods: The study employed the GeneCards database to identify genes associated with circ…

  • A Qualitative Study Exploring the Mechanisms Underlying Self‐Management Behaviours Among Community‐Dwelling Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Nanjing, China

Open Access•Jinxin Li, Yue Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Health Expectations•2025

BACKGROUND: Effective self-management is essential for improving the health outcomes of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). However, many patients fail to achieve ideal self-management. This qualitative study, grounded in the theory of planned behaviour (TPB), aims to explore the mechanisms underlying self-management behaviours of patients with T2DM in the community, to provide insights for improve patients' self-management and reduce …

  • Relationship between quality of life of patients with severe mental illnesses and family burden of disease

Open Access•Sizhe Wang, Jiajia Dong et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2025

This study highlights that caregivers experience a heavy family burden of disease. The patients' HRQoL not only directly affects the family burden of disease but also indirectly influences it through the caregivers' social support. Therefore, relevant departments need to prioritize improving patients' HRQoL and expanding caregivers' social support networks when developing targeted intervention programs to reduce the family burden of SMIs

  • Decoding ancient charcoal formation and post-deposition

Open Access•Gang Li, Xi Li et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science…•2025•Cited by: 1•References: 2

  • Bioarchaeological perspectives on the ancient Han-Xiongnu war

Open Access•Pengcheng Ma, Minmin Ma et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science•2025•Cited by: 3

  • Obstructive sleep apnea and cognition

Open Access•Jiajia Dong, Xiao Yu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

Researchers are increasingly focusing on OSA and cognition. Currently, the majority of studies on OSA-related cognitive dysfunction are focused on correctable aspects of the condition. Future investigations into the pathology of OSA-induced cognitive impairment will facilitate more precise therapeutic interventions

  • Shift in Subsistence Crop Dominance from Broomcorn Millet to Foxtail Millet Around 5500 BP in the Western Loess Plateau
