Fortifications of the Tyumen Ostrog and Posad in the 16th–18th Centuries
The article focuses on reconstructing the stages in the development of Tyumen’s fortification system from in the late 16th–18th century, based on archaeological excavation materials from 2023–2024, written sources, and dendrochronological dating of the wood from cultural layers. The main results of the research on the cultural layer of the Samarovsky Yam settlement (Khanty-Mansiysk)
In 2016, archaeological excavations were carried out for the first time in the settlement of Samarovsky Yam (Khanty-Mansiysk) directed by I.Yu. Chikunova. The cultural layers of the 17th-20th centuries have been studied. This publication introduces the information and materials obtained during the excavations, and the results of the analysis of fish remains. The ceramic complex of the ancient settlement of Ust-Vasyegan 1
This paper presents the results of the study of the ceramics collection from two periods - Eneolithic and Medie-val, assembled during the fieldwork at the ancient settlement of Ust-Vasyegan 1 in the Northern Priobye (Western Sibe-ria). The Eneolithic ware is represented by fragments of 30 vessels decorated with alveolate, rhombic, nail-imprints, and corner patterns. Accidental find of the Late Bronze Age casting mould on the Pyshma River
The purpose of this publication is to present to scientific discussion a unique casting mould. The foundry mold was discovered accidentally in 2019 near the Pyshma River in the Yalutorovsk District of the Tyumen Re-gion. It represents a four-sided trapezoid bar of gray slate stone, slightly tapered to one end. On three sides of the bar, negatives are cut out for casting three different products.
