Industries with pencil-shaped core in the Mesolithic of the European North-East
Pencil-shaped cores are a type of elongated prismatic cores with a circular striking platform with a diameter of 15 mm to 3 mm. This is a very clear indicator of a number of Mesolithic industries. He may be underrated. In the European North-East, sites with such cores were first discovered in the late 1950s on the Vychegda River.
