  • A parcel locker sharing system to enhance accessibility and equity

Open Access•Si Liu, Anil K Malhotra et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Transport Geography•2025

  • Mapping genomic loci implicates genes and synaptic biology in schizophrenia

Open Access•Vassily Trubetskoy, Antonio F Pardiñas et al.•ARTICLE•Nature•2022

  • Influence of Maternal Region of Birth on Placental Pathology of Babies Born Small

Open Access•Mindi Fernando, Nalin Choudhary et al.•ARTICLE•Children•2022

In this observational study, maternal region of birth did not have an influence on placental pathology of babies born small, despite some differences in neonatal outcomes

  • Decreasing Hypothermia-Related Escalation of Care in Newborn Infants Using the Bempu TempWatch

Open Access•Donna Lei, Kenneth Tan et al.•ARTICLE•Children•2021

Low rates of hypothermia requiring escalation of care in a tertiary, high-income setting meant it was not feasible for studying the effects of the TempWatch for this outcome. TempWatch may have a role in promoting exclusive breastfeeding, and this needs to be explored further

  • Preterm Infant Outcomes Following Covid-19 Lockdowns in Melbourne, Australia

Open Access•Brendan Mulcahy, Daniel L Rolnik et al.•ARTICLE•Children•2021

Background Community lockdowns during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic may influence preterm birth rates, but mechanisms are unclear. Methods We compared neonatal outcomes of preterm infants born to mothers exposed to community lockdowns in 2020 (exposed group) to those born in 2019 (control group). Main outcome studied was composite of significant neonatal morbidity or death. Results Median gestational age was 35 + 4 weeks (295 i…

  • Gene discovery and polygenic prediction from a genome-wide association study of educational attainment in 1.1 million individuals

Open Access•23andMe Research Team, James J Lee et al.•ARTICLE•Nature Genetics•2018

Here we conducted a large-scale genetic association analysis of educational attainment in a sample of approximately 1.1 million individuals and identify 1,271 independent genome-wide-significant SNPs. For the SNPs taken together, we found evidence of heterogeneous effects across environments. The SNPs implicate genes involved in brain-development processes and neuron-to-neuron communication. In a separate analysis of the X chromosome, we identify…
