An analysis of coin finds recovered in recent years from the area of the former Roman fort in Apsaros (Gonio, Georgia), allows us to look at the periodization of the history of the Roman military presence in this place from a new perspective. Fundamental determinants of credit default risk for European and American banks
The aim of the paper is to identify the fundamental variables driving banks' credit default swaps. Quarterly data from 2004 to 2015 for European and American banks have been used. The analysis has been prepared through static panel data models. The following hypothesis has been put forward: the earnings potential, and economic uncertainty significantly influence credit risk. Archeological work in the 2012 and 2013 seasons in Jiyeh (Porphyreon), which lies on the Phoenician coast north of ancient Sidon, was focused on reconstructing the history of settlement on the site. At least three phases were identified and dated to the Iron Age II, the Persian– Hellenistic–Roman period and late antiquity.
