The article presents the first archaeometric investigation of the typologically and chronologically diverse assemblage of medieval and post-medieval glass from the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Sixty samples, comprised of various vessels, lamps, beads, and window glass (oculi), and dated between the 12th and 18th century, were analysed with simultaneous PIGE-PIXE methods. This paper presents the results of the analyses of three glass beads from three Bronze Age sites, Medvode-Svetje, Trata near Škofja Loka and Kamna Gorica near Ljubljana. All three sites belong to the Oloris-Podsmreka horizon, which covers the Middle and the beginning of the Late Bronze Age (c. second half of the 16th/first half of the 15th century to 12th century BC). Analizirali smo vzorce steklenih posod in okenskega stekla s poznoantične utrdbe Korinjski hrib pri Velikem Korinju. Steklene najdbe s tega najdišča, datiranega v 6. st., kažejo značilen, vendar omejen spekter posod, predvsem kozarce brez noge, kozarce na nogi in okensko steklo. Determination of the chemical composition of medieval glazed pottery from Drastar (Bulgaria) using Pixe/Pige and LA-ICP-MS
Fifteen samples of medieval glazed pottery from Drastar (present day Silistra), Bulgaria, dated between 10th and 18th centuries AD were studied. The element concentration of the glazes was determined by Proton Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) and Proton Induced Gamma Emission (PIGE) analysis.
