The Role of the Military in Latin American Politics
HE ROLE of the military in contemporary Latin American politics requires the study of a wide variety of states ranging from Costa Rica, half the size of Ohio, with less than a million population, to Brazil, 160 times larger, whose population exceeds 60,000,000.
