Beliren Yetişkinlerin Ruh Sağlığı Sürekliliklerinin Yordayıcıları Olarak Yaşam Amaçları ve Kişisel Gelişim Yönelimleri

Bu araştırmada beliren yetişkinlerde kişisel gelişim yönelimleri ve yaşam amaçlarının ruh sağlığı süreklilikleri üzerindeki yordayıcı rolünü incelemek amaçlanmaktadır. Bununla birlikte katılımcıların ruh sağlığı sürekliliklerinin cinsiyetlerine, medeni durumlarına ve çalışma durumlarına göre anlamlı biçimde farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını incelemek de amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 433 beliren yetişkin oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Kişisel Bilgiler Formu”, “Ruh Sağlığı Sürekliliği Kısa Formu”, “Yaşam Amaçları Ölçeği Kısa Formu” ve “Kişisel Gelişim Yönelimi Ölçeği-II” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Bağımsız Örneklem t-Testi, ANOVA-Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi, Tukey Çoklu Karşılaştırma Testi ve Adımsal (Stepwise) Regresyon Analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, beliren yetişkinlerde yaşam amaçları ile kişisel gelişim yönelimlerinin ruh sağlığı sürekliliklerini anlamlı biçimde yordadığı bulunmuştur. Beliren yetişkinlerin ruh sağlığı sürekliliklerinin, cinsiyete göre farklılaşmadığı; fakat medeni duruma göre farklılaştığı görülmüştür. Bu farklılaşma şu şekildedir: Evli olan katılımcıların ruh sağlığı sürekliliği puan ortalamaları, bekâr olanlara göre anlamlı bir biçimde daha yüksektir. Ayrıca tam zamanlı çalışan katılımcıların, ruh sağlığı sürekliliği puan ortalamaları da çalışmayanlara göre anlamlı bir biçimde yüksek olarak tespit edilmiştir
