Light has always been a constant in the work of Lorand Gaspar, the 1925 Târgu-Mureș (Romania)-born poet and surgeon. Our study aims at following the light metamorphosis when crossing biographical, literary and intimate places, from young childhood onwards. Our standpoint originates in the idea that language, culture or topology contribute to re-creating an original framework which not only accompanies the individual throughout life, but will also interfere with the way new sceneries are to be filtered and framed. Light, with the way it becomes image, remains nevertheless the quintessential and personal poetic expression of his inner world
