The overall aim of this dissertation is to reconstruct the history of the Flores-Lembata languages including traces of contact-induced change.The Flores-Lembata languages are a lower-level subgroup within the Austronesian language family spoken in eastern Indonesia.The Flores-Lembata group can be divided into five linguistically defined subgroups.These are: Sika, Western Lamaholot, Central Lamaholot, Eastern Lamaholot, and Kedang, as shown on Map 1.Each of these subgroups includes one or more languages.Proposed language boundaries are indicated as lines on the map.PMP PBL Bima-Lembata languages PRM
