Face aux conflits sociaux et politiques de plus en plus profonds qu'engendrent les phenomenes de pluralisation, de globalisation et de differenciation des societes cosmopolites, l'A. revendique une logique de la publicite qui etablirait les normes de l'exercice de la citoyennete dans le respect des valeurs democratiques que sont la cooperation et la solidarite. Regrettant l'insuffisance de la notion de sphere publique dans les theories contemporaines de la democratie deliberative, l'A. developpe une conception plus large de la publicite qui couvre l'espace entre l'etat democratique et la societe civile et repond aux exigences du pluralisme culturel
