is impossible to estimate the total number of Negro veterans at the end of the war, but it seems likely that at least 750,000 can be expected to return to civilian life. Th'ey will come back to a society which will differ in many respects from that existing at the time they held their last jobs. Technological changes made during the war will certainly carry over into peacetime production. Developments in labor unions will influence employeremployee relationships.
