The animacy effect in visuospatial memory

Generative Artificial Intelligence Supported Programming Learning
The programming curriculum is crucial in today’s digital age, but a common issue is its focus on technical training while neglecting essential skills enhancement. Teachers lack structured and practical guidance on instructional methods, and the wide range of students’ foundational abilities makes it difficult to cater to personalized learning needs. The advent of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) technology has brought significant changes …
The impact of marital status on hypertension
Results confirm a close association between marital status and hypertension in women, with factors like age and economic status potentially influencing this relationship. This underscores the need for further research to explore the intricate connections between marriage and blood pressure. The study advocates for medical institutions and communities to offer psychological health support to those undergoing marital difficulties and stresses the s…
Risk factors of falls in elderly patients with visual impairment
Objective: To examine the risk factors for falls in elderly patients with visual impairment (VI) and assess the predictive performance of these factors. Methods: telephone interviews. Information of demographics and lifestyle, gait and balance deficits, and ophthalmic and systemic conditions were collected during baseline visits. Forward stepwise multivariable logistic regression analysis was performed to identify independent risk factors of fall…
Ancient DNA reveals a migration of the ancient D i‐qiang populations into X injiang as early as the early B ronze A ge
Xinjiang is at the crossroads between East and West Eurasia, and it harbors a relatively complex genetic history. In order to better understand the population movements and interactions in this region, mitochondrial and Y chromosome analyses on 40 ancient human remains from the Tianshanbeilu site in eastern Xinjiang were performed. Twenty‐nine samples were successfully assigned to specific mtDNA haplogroups, including the west Eurasian maternal l…
Ancient DNA evidence reveals that the Y chromosome haplogroup Q 1a1 admixed into the H an C hinese 3,000 years ago
OBJECTIVES: Y chromosome haplogroup Q1a1 is found almost only in Han Chinese populations. However, it has not been found in ancient Han Chinese samples until now. Thus, the origin of haplogroup Q1a1 in Han Chinese is still obscure. This study attempts to provide answer to this question, and to uncover the origin and paternal genetic structure of the ancestors of the Han Chinese. METHODS: Eighty-nine ancient human remains that were excavated from …
Ancient DNA evidence supports the contribution of Di‐Qiang people to the han Chinese gene pool
Han Chinese is the largest ethnic group in the world. During its development, it gradually integrated with many neighboring populations. To uncover the origin of the Han Chinese, ancient DNA analysis was performed on the remains of 46 humans (∼1700 to 1900 years ago) excavated from the Taojiazhai site in Qinghai province, northwest of China, where the Di‐Qiang populations had previously lived. In this study, eight mtDNA haplogroups (A, B, D, F, M…
