This note provides an edition of the Latin text of a quodlibet by the Parisian master Peter of Auvergne concerning the knowledge of angels about the coming of Antichrist. The introduction to the edition argues that this quodlibet was not made in response to Arnald of Villanova's De tempore adventus Antichristi . Rather, it is best understood as a hypothetical inquiry regarding the ability of angels to communicate revelation to human beings

Although much has been written about the Jewish proclivity toward liberalism, little has been written about elites who are Jewish. This article extensively compares American elites, both Jewish and non-Jewish, on a wide variety of social, economic, and political attitudes. The illuminated prophecies depicting fifteen popes from Nicholas III onward (incipit: ‘Ascende calve’) were conceived to advance the cause of southern-French Franciscan Spirituals. They were created between c. 1318 and c. 1340, most likely between 1328 and 1330. The early iconography and commentary by John of Rupescissa are particularly helpful for interpreting the original meaning of the prophecies
