  • Forms of caring

    Open Access•Isabella Pezzini•ARTICLE•Punctum International Journal of…•2024

The article examines the issue of art curatorship by looking at two extreme understandings of the practice that derive from the different meanings of the Latin word ‘cura,’ implying diverging valorizations of so-called cultural artefacts. In the first case, curatorship is primarily oriented toward safeguarding the material permanence of cultural artefacts; in the second, it is mainly focused on the effervescence of their semantic dynamics. On the…

  • Trajectories of identity, difference, and alterity in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war

    Open Access•Isabella Pezzini•ARTICLE•Actes Sémiotiques•2023

In this article, I propose a reflection on the concepts of identity/alterity, cooperation/conflict, ally/enemy, starting from the exceptional case of media representation of Ukraine, its president, and the background of the current conflict, given by the production of a prescient sitcom, by Zelenski himself, titled like the party that brought him success, in total continuity between reality and imagination

    Open Access•Isabella Pezzini, Bianca Terracciano•ARTICLE•Estudos Semióticos•2022

    Open Access•Isabella Pezzini, Paolo Peverini•ARTICLE•Actes Sémiotiques•2021

    Open Access•Isabella Pezzini•ARTICLE•Actes Sémiotiques•2021

  • Biografia e autobiografia in Barthes (1915-1980) e Lotman (1922-1993)

    Open Access•Isabella Pezzini•ARTICLE•Ocula•2016•Citada por: 1

  • Nothing is more open than a closed text

    Open Access•Isabella Pezzini•ARTICLE•Semiotica•2015•Referencias: 1

This essay develops the multiple “passional” implications implied within every act of reading. Texts have the potential power to elicit the passions of the reader through various textual strategies that, in turn, enable the reader to become emotionally or passionally involved in the narration and, furthermore, to share in the emotions of the characters. The second part of this essay presents a reading of a story by Friedrich Durrenmatt, “The Dyin…

  • Wikileaks
