Our research area consists in the struggles suffered by the Basque minority, which were and are caused by the Spanish and French states. Janus in the aftermath of post-dictatorial societies
In the present paper I aim to analyze how the Spanish legal system is dealing with the crimes committed during the Civil War and Franco’s regime, as well as answering the question of how post-national human rights law is manifested in this case. Is Spain in this case coming into terms with international justice? I claim that there is a collision due to the legal pluralism and the failure in the "vernacularization process" of human rights.
