This essay compares the presentation of evidence in classic detective fiction and in the author's forthcoming interactive digital ethnography. The Ax Fighton CD-ROM
In The Ax Fight [1975], Timothy Asch and Napoleon Chagnon introduced many innovative techniques that have since become standard in nonlinear multimedia. Yanomamö Interactive, a CD‐ROM for computer use, extends these techniques to enhance understanding of the film.
