  • Interpersonal Profiles in Social Anxiety Disorder: Different Settings, Different Outcomes?

Open Access•A Babl, T Berger et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Clinical Psychology•2026

OBJECTIVE: Social anxiety disorder (SAD) is one of the most common mental disorders, with the majority of those affected not receiving primary care or psychotherapy. Internet-based treatments may be an alternative for individuals with SAD. METHODS: The sample consisted of 539…

  • Is it possible to measure cultural democracy? An approach based on cultural habits surveys

Open Access•J Leiva, João Oswaldo Leiva Filiho et al.•ARTICLE•Cultural Trends•2026•Referencias: 2

Open Access•A Keller, Alex M Keller et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2024

Our results confirm findings of previous studies from other countries, identifying lack of knowledge, unsatisfactory communication with MS clinicians, and worries about negative consequences when quitting as barriers, and the MS-diagnosis as a motivator for smoking cessation. In a next step, we will use our findings for the development of an MS-specific online smoking cessation program

  • Navigating the sea of histories of mathematics

    A Keller•ARTICLE•Interdisciplinary Science Reviews•2022•Referencias: 5

This essay argues against a history of mathematics that celebrates a unique Greek ‘outlier’ in world history, while raising the question of the new type of histories of mathematics that we should write today. Taking examples from the history of mathematical sources in Sanskrit and histories of mathematics written in South Asia, this essay deconstructs some assumptions behind narratives of Greek and European exceptionalism. In particular, it chall…
