The triangulation of multimorbidity
Despite the growing evidence of the interconnectedness of hypertension, sleep disorders, and mental health, the exact nature of the relationships and the potential for combined or synergistic effects remain unclear. Potential mechanisms include environmental factors, family stressors, financial difficulties, treatment side effects and shared pathophysiological comorbidities. Therefore, this systematic review aimed to address this gap by assessing…
Patient perspectives on physician competence
Competency frameworks such as CanMEDS anchor medical training and accountability, yet most validations privilege educators and seldom test whether patients recognize and prioritize the same architecture. We conducted a cross-sectional online survey (February–June 2025) of Lebanese adults (N = 403) to validate, from the patient perspective, the seven CanMEDS roles and to examine sociodemographic moderators of endorsement and rank priorities. A 103…

The Effects of Green Spaces and Noise Exposure on the Risk of Ischemic Stroke
Environmental surroundings and noise exposure were found to affect the risk of ischemic stroke. Greater green spaces and lower noise exposure play a protective role against ischemic stroke, suggesting a possible prevention strategy through environmental modifications at home and workplaces

Phubbing among Lebanese young adults
Depression, anxiety, insomnia, stress, and the way of coping emotions as risk factors for ischemic stroke and their influence on stroke severity
Despite several limitations, the findings of our study suggest that people who are depressed or stressed are more likely to have an ischemic stroke. Consequently, additional research into the causes and effects of depression and perceived stress may provide new directions for preventive strategies that can help reduce the risk of stroke. Since pre-stroke depression and perceived stress were also found to be strongly correlated with stroke severit…

AUD seems to be influenced by several factors among the Lebanese population, including alexithymia, stress, anxiety and work fatigue. Healthcare professionals should spread awareness to reduce the prevalence of these factors
Association between parental separation and addictions in adolescents

Combined anticoagulant and antiplatelet therapy is associated with an improved outcome in hospitalised patients with Covid-19
The use of combined anticoagulant and antiplatelet agents or TAC alone in hospitalised patients with COVID-19 was associated with a better outcome in comparison to PAC alone without an increase in the risk of major and minor bleeds.
