Transmigrants Experiences of Recognitional (in)Justice in Indonesia’s Environmental Impact Assessment
This paper unpacks the environmental justice concerns of rural migrants in relation to land tenure and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes. We explore the “geography of recognition”, whereby sense of community, identity and place interact to produce unequal experiences of recognitional justice in relation to the EIA process. We develop our argument by using qualitative research and a village case study in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, i…

Rehydroxylation of Fired‐Clay Ceramics
To obtain accurate results in the RHX dating of ceramics, it is essential that the RHX measurements are continued until the rate of mass gain is constant with (time) 1/4 . In this paper, we discuss how the initial stages of mass gain are affected by the specific surface area (SSA) of the ceramic material. The paper provides guidance on experimental protocols to avoid dating results being distorted by relatively early‐time mass gain data
Scruton's Philosophy of Culture
Scruton is a self-confessed elitist for whom culture is 'the creation and creator of elites', though its meaning 'lies in emotions and aspirations that are common to all'. This article argues that one can uphold his humane conception of the value of high culture without endorsing elitism.
