Carolyn and Art tell the story of cleaning out their joint departmental office after retiring from University of South Florida. They detail the process and feelings of alienation and sadness they have about leaving their departmental home of Communication amidst a mobbing of faculty rebelling against their work in narrative and autoethnography and refusing to communicate to mediate disagreements
The Eulogy as Spiritual Autoethnography
In this article, I focus on the eulogy as spiritual autoethnography. I present three eulogies I delivered over a two-year period, reflecting on their contexts, content, and the process of constructing them. I show how autoethnographic and ethnographic sensibilities assisted me to tell a story in each eulogy that resonated with and felt meaningful to me and to those gathered to listen. Despite her prominent role in the early twentieth century as an author, composer, and devoted student of Native American and African American cultures, Natalie Curtis Burlin remains relatively unknown. Fluctuating settlement patterns in Bronze Age Sutherland
Excavation of a well-preserved upstanding roundhouse revetted into a steep hillside at Navidale has revealed a structure with unusually sophisticated architectural traits dated to around 1400–1200 BC. The house was built within an agricultural landscape but its abandonment appears to have been linked to a cessation of agriculture within that landscape, possibly part of a wider environmental decline across northern Scotland

The results of over thirty separate excavations and watching briefs along the line of the Antonine Wall are presented. The alignment and character of the frontier works and fort defences were clarified in several places. Excavation identified the remains of at least two timber roundhouses, one of which was dated to the mid second millennium BC. The site also contained a Neolithic structure and series of pits, some of which contained fragments of Grooved Ware pottery. Includes separately authored reports on
An Early Bronze Age multiple burial cist from Mill Road Industrial Estate, Linlithgow, West Lothian
Evaluation of a short cist discovered during construction works revealed five inhumations and a cremation. The burial group consisted of a minimum of five children and an adult with a misshapen skull. Four of the burials have been dated to the Early Bronze Age. The burials were accompanied by a piece of flint debitage and a retouched tool. The cist has been placed in a substantial pit an constructed in such a way that it could be reopened. It is …
