Social and Family Factors as Determinants of Sleep Habits in Japanese Elementary School Children
This study explored the associations of lifestyle, familial, and social factors with sleep habits in 1882 elementary school children, aged 6-13 years, from the Super Shokuiku School Project in January 2016. Lifestyle, psychological stress, and incidence of adolescent constipation
Our prospective study demonstrated that female sex, insufficient fruit intake, and deteriorating lifestyles such as skipping breakfast and becoming inactive during the 3-year period were associated with the incidence of adolescent constipation. Beyond anecdotal, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is recommended to reduce the incidence of adolescent constipation
