The Impact of Integrated UN Missions on Humanitarian NGO Security
Since the end of the Cold War, the UN has extended many of its missions in conflict zones to include political, military, and humanitarian activities. A Mental Measures Classification System for Noncommercially Produced Research Instruments
Psychometric tests are available through both commercial and noncommercial sources. The Mental Measurements Yearbook provides adequate classification of the commercially available instruments which it reviews, but the system lacks the detail required to embrace the many concepts of the little-known experimental measures constructed by researchers in education, psychology, and sociology. Social class, familism, interest in children, and childbearing
Two recurrent concepts in fertility literature permit prediction of an inverse relationship between social class and fertility. The commitment to familism refers to the degree that couples embrace a family‐centered style of life over a consumerist or careerist style of life. Social Class and Premarital Sexual Permissiveness
This paper attempts a subsequent test of Reiss' hypothesis that among conservatives those of higher social status are less permissive than those of lower status while among liberals the relationship is in the opposite direction. A student sample was utilized and measures of fundamentalism. idealism, academic orientation, and authoritarianism were used independently to identify liberals and conservatives. Procion dyes as matrix markers in growing bone and teeth
Twelve mono‐ and dichloro‐s‐triazinyl dyes were selected to ascertain the vital‐staining characteristics of these dyes, to evaluate the toxicity, and to establish an optimal rate of doseage for use with several animal species.
