Findings from this study confirm that the Persian version of the FAMQOL is a valid and reliable instrument for evaluating the quality of life among family caregivers of patients with chronic psychiatric disorders. This scale holds significant potential for both research and clinical applications, facilitating the identification of caregivers' needs and guiding the creation of targeted interventions to enhance their quality of life
Care burden among Iranian family caregivers of patients with schizophrenia
The findings of this study showed that the majority of family caregivers of patients with schizophrenia experienced moderate to severe levels of caregiving burden. This burden was associated with lower levels of life satisfaction, employment status, and marital status of the caregiver, as well as longer duration of illness and lack of health insurance coverage for the patient
