The Enregisterment of Colla in a Bolivian (Camba) Comedy
Colla and camba are two racialized, regionally indexical, and contrasting stereotypic characterological figures of Bolivian national personhood. This article explores the reflexive role the Norwegian musical group, Vømmøl Spellmanslag, played as a mass-mediated cultural expression of an emergent counterpublic in 1970s Norway.
