Pediatric paleoradiology
This paper aggregates and summarizes studies that use paleoradiology techniques in the analysis of pediatric remains. Building on these findings, we offer evidence-based, best-practice protocols for the use of radiographic techniques in the assessment of pediatric remains from archaeological contexts. Infant lower extremity long bone growth rates
OBJECTIVES: Modern reference standards for long bone growth are lacking for infants (≤1 year). This study develops a quantitative framework to characterize lower extremity bone shaft growth during infancy based on radiographic images, and compares it to data from the 1930s.
