  • Features of geochemistry and ecological state of modern sources of groundwater discharge in the southwestern part of the Crimean peninsula

Open Access•Anatoliy Chernykh, Olga Kozlovskaya et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Development of…•2025

Introduction. In the event of dry, low-water years, the Crimean Peninsula may again become a waterscarce region. Therefore, it is necessary to study the chemical composition and an initial assessment of the suitability of water from groundwater discharge sources for the safe consumption of this water by the population, economic and domestic needs. Purpose of the research. The purpose of this work is to study the chemical composition and initial a…

  • In search of Eurasia

    Dmitry Novikov, D P Novikov et al.•ARTICLE•Полис Политические исследования•2025•Referencias: 2

Russia and China are the leading states of the Eurasian continent, and the dynamics of their relations largely determines the dynamics of geopolitical processes in the region. In this context, the actual question is how similar and compatible are the Russian and Chinese ideas about Eurasia, and Eurasian regionalism? In the past few years, Russia has made significant efforts to promote its vision of the international order on the continent, includ…

  • The Shanghai Cooperation Organisationin New Geopolitical Realities

    Open Access•Shamil Midkhatovich Yenikeyeff, Alexander Lukin et al.•ARTICLE•International Organisations…•2024•Citada por: 1•Referencias: 1

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), established more than two decades ago, is one of the most important international organizations in the non-western world. While attracting the interest of many players in the region, the SCO is still searching for direction, creating new formats, and signing new documents. This process is especially relevant in the current, rapidly changing geopolitical environment, which requires meaningful answers to…

  • Geochemistry of natural waters of the Kastropol Tract (Southern Coast of the Crimean Peninsula)

    Open Access•Anastasia Maksimova, Д А Новиков et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Development of…•2022

This paper presents the results of complex hydro-geochemical studies of the natural waters of the Kastropol tract. It was found that the studied waters are characterized mainly by HCO3 Ca and HCO3 Mg-Ca composition with a total mineralization value varying in the range from 220 to 2306 mg/dm3 and a silicon content from 0.78 to 6.08 mg/dm3 . It was revealed that the geochemical parameters of the medium vary from reducing to oxidizing with Eh -146.…

  • Sino-Russian rapprochement and Greater Eurasia

Open Access•Alexander Lukin, Dmitry Novikov et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Eurasian Studies•2021•Citada por: 11•Referencias: 3

Can international anarchy be stabilized, if not globally, then at least regionally? Those scholars who give a positive answer usually refer to the North Atlantic community which can be categorized as an international society from the viewpoint of the English school. The emergence of such a community outside the West is traditionally considered hardly possible. However, this article argues that it may already be emerging in Eurasia, with Russia an…

  • Mega‐Regional Agreements and the Struggle for Economic Order in the Asia‐Pacific Region

    Open Access•Dmitry Novikov, D P Novikov et al.•ARTICLE•Asian Politics & Policy•2018•Citada por: 1•Referencias: 9

The U.S. withdrawal from the Trans‐Pacific Partnership (TPP) project in January 2017 effectively marked the end (at least—for some time) of the period of active competition between so‐called “mega‐regional agreements” in the Asia‐Pacific region. A flagship of the Obama administration’s initiatives in Asia, the TPP spurred China to intensify work on an alternative project—its Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)—and sparked an unusua…
