Adaptation Strategies and Transient Niches of One Middle-Class Inmate in Prison
This analysis documents the all-pervasive dynamics of a prison inmate's socialization and shows how one can develop coping strategies or transient niches over an extended period of time which allow for progression through five broad sequential stages

In contrast to other elderly Asian-Americans (notably Japanese Americans and Chinese Americans), relatively little is known about aged Filipino Americans (Kalish & Yuen, 1971).
