It is difficult to quantify the impact Amanda Claridge had on the fields of Roman art, architecture, archaeology, and topography.From her role as assistant director of the British School in Rome (1980-94) to her involvement in the Lexicon Topographicum Urbis Romae, as well as her teaching and mentorship at the Department of Classics at Royal Holloway, University of London, Claridge left a significant and lasting mark on both students
