Design of an implementation research study for a digital omnichannel community engagement and risk communication intervention for the prevention and control of vector-borne diseases in India
Introduction: Vector-borne diseases (VBDs), such as malaria, dengue, and lymphatic filariasis, pose significant public health challenges in India, contributing significantly to the nation's morbidity and mortality. In this scenario, digital technology promises scalable, contextual, and user-centric interventions for behavior change. However, systematic and comprehensive community-based digital approaches for VBD prevention in India are limited. T…
Coverage of continuum of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) care in a nationally representative sample of 40,687 mother–child dyads of India
Odisha and a few other less-developed Indian states demonstrated that good CoC coverage can be achieved even with restricted resources, perhaps through strengthening of public health system. Other states should emulate and help India as a nation achieve full CoC coverage of all its mother-child dyads and attain MNCH-related sustainable development goals
Health System-Led Multimodal and Multilevel Interventions to Reduce Sickle Cell Disease-Related Stigma Among Tribal Populations in India
Development and implementation of a strategy for early diagnosis and management of scrub typhus
Scrub typhus, caused by Orientia tsutsugamushi , is a re-emerging zoonotic disease in the tropics with considerable morbidity and mortality rates. This disease, which is mostly prevalent in rural areas, remains underdiagnosed and underreported because of the low index of suspicion and non-specific clinical presentation. Limited access to healthcare, diagnostics, and treatment in rural settings further makes it challenging to distinguish it from o…

To what extent classic socio-economic determinants explain trends of anaemia in tribal and non-tribal women of reproductive age in India? Findings from four National Family Heath Surveys (1998–2021)
The structural determinants wealth, education, food security, parity and urban amenities improved immensely in India but anaemia did not decline in this 23-year period. This implies that the "usual suspects" - the structural determinants are not the main drivers of anaemia in the country. The main driver may be absolute and/or functional deficiency status of micronutrients including iron attributable to inadequate uptake and absorption of these e…
The Landscape of Anthrax Prevention and Control
The prevalence and outbreaks of anthrax are interlinked with the animal-environment-human context, which signifies the need for collaborative, trans-disciplinary and multi-sectoral approaches for the prevention and control of anthrax. In India, there are hardly any shreds of evidence on the role of various stakeholders' on anthrax prevention and control. Therefore, this study addressed the experiences of various stakeholders on anthrax prevention…

The current preliminary study examined the role of perceived parental attachment in achievement motivation. Self-report data obtained from the Parental Attachment Questionnaire, Achievement Goals Questio…
