Verbal children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) often also have atypical speech. In the context of the many challenges associated with ASD, do speech sound pattern differences really matter? The current study investigated school-aged children's internalization of the distributional patterns of English lexical stress as a function of vocabulary size.
