  • The GenAI Future of Consumer Research

    Open Access•Min-Hsiung Huang, Roland T Rust et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Consumer Research•2025•Citada por: 3•Referencias: 23

We develop a novel generative AI (GenAI) trajectory, 'democratization-average trap-model collapse,' to identify data and model challenges posed by GenAI, from which we project the GenAI future of consumer research. This trajectory consists of three key phenomena: democratization broadens consumer participation, the average trap produces generic responses, and model collapse occurs when GenAI outputs lose human sensibilities. Data and model challe…

  • Compensatory advantage and the use of out-of-school-time tutorials

    Open Access•Min-Hsiung Huang•ARTICLE•Research in Social Stratification…•2020•Citada por: 4•Referencias: 4

Using data from several dozen countries, this study investigates the possibility that out-of-school-time (henceforth, OST) tutorials in academic subjects are used in a way that corresponds to theoretical predictions of the compensatory advantage model. I distinguish between fee-based and non-fee-based OST tutorials. Results suggest that fee-paying OST tutorials are used in a way that is predicted by the compensatory advantage model in many countr…

  • Dration Models to Analyze Dating Relationships

    Open Access•Min-Hsiung Huang, Ming‐hui Huang et al.•ARTICLE•Family and Consumer Sciences…•2000•Referencias: 23

Gifts are proclaimed to play a vital role in making dating relationships last. In this article, however, the authors look at not only the beneficial but also the detrimental effects of gift giving in relationships. To explore the double‐edged effects of gifts, this study conceptualizes gift giving in dating relationships as including three aspects: self‐gift, interpersonal gift exchange, and jointgift possession. Econometric duration models are u…

  • Cross-Cultural Similarity in the Love Attitudes Scale

    Open Access•Min-Hsiung Huang, MING-HUI HUANG•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1999

Recently, Hendrick, Hendrick, and Dicke presented two short forms of the Love Attitudes Scale, the first using 24 items with 4 items for each subscale and the second using 18 items with 3 items for each subscale. Their data indicated that the two short versions have even stronger psychometric properties than the original scale. This study reports an 18-item short form of the scale developed independently in Taiwan using 460 graduate and undergrad…
