Les pages de Lucien Febvre que l'on vient de relire ont donc près de vingt-cinq ans. Patiemment reprise depuis lors, c'est seulement en 1957 qu'a été suspendue la nouvelle enquête par correspondance annoncée plus haut. Nous en sommes, à nos propres risques, les premiers exploitants.Cette enquête porte sur les usages conservés ou remémorés par les ' anciens ', parfois déjà notés par les enquêteurs au cours de recherches personnelles.
