A Test of Magnetometry as an Aid to Archaeology
The long-standing interest of the Indiana Historical Society in archaeological methodology has led to a program designed to evaluate the applicability of the proton magnetometer to the location of certain subsurface features. I think I should take the liberty of altering the title of this paper as it appears on the program from Archaeologist's View to An Archaeologist's View. Tepexpan Man,' a Critique of Method
On October 17, 1947,1 read a paper, 'A Critique of Some Archaeological Field Methods,' before the Anthropology Section of the Indiana Academy of Science. The occasion was the annual meeting of the group at Ball State Teachers College, Muncie, Indiana. The paper in its entirety was accepted for publication in the Proceedings of the Academy.
