Students’ perceptions of school climate as determinants of wellbeing, resilience and identity
This study examined the relations between school climate variables and students’ feeling of wellbeing, life satisfaction, ethnic identity, moral identity and resilience. A Systematic Review on the Impact of Internal Remittances on Poverty and Consumption in Developing Countries
This paper reviews the current literature on the usage and impact of internal remittances on recipient households in low‐income countries. A systematic review was conducted using six electronic and four informal databases. Using narrative synthesis, we reviewed 18 studies. In this study we used an interpretive, ethnographic, qualitative approach to examine Papua New Guinean women’s narratives and perceptions about their health and the ways in which these were linked to coping with personal adversity. Women used a variety of strategies to cope with psychosocial stressors and challenging life circumstances, including both reliance on their own agency and active efforts and the seeking of social and spiritual support.…

This article reports on a series of three-month projects undertaken among out-of-school adolescents in North India that used photographs and charts to elicit critical analysis of health in small groups led by peer educators. This method of “problematization” is a component of the empowerment model.
