  • Hyper‐Balancing

    Open Access•Zhiqiang Sun, Yi Yuan et al.•ARTICLE•Pacific Focus•2025•Referencias: 2

The dynamics of China‐Japan relations have been a major focus among international relations (IR) scholars of East Asian security studies for a long time, and 2012 was marked as a critical juncture for Japan to decisively transform its policies toward China. Under the administration of Shinzo Abe, Japan has taken a stable, long‐term, and very tough stance toward China, while strengthening its balancing capabilities at the domestic level and even g…

  • Mechanistic insights into Yifei Sanjie pill's regulation of EMT to enhance gefitinib treatment effect in NSCLC by in silico analysis and experimental validation

    Open Access•Ruisheng Zhou, Rui-Sheng Zhou et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2024

  • Investigation of two norovirus outbreaks linked to drinking water contaminated with multiple GII strains in a rural county—Chongqing, China, 2021

Open Access•Tingting Li, Jingyao Peng et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2023

Backgrounds: Norovirus is leading cause of non-bacterial gastroenteritis outbreaks globally, characterized by different strains prevalent in different countries and regions. Methods: Cases were defined as individuals experiencing diarrhea ≥3 times/24 h, and/or vomiting ≥2 times/24 h in two villages between January 28 and February 9, 2021. Investigations were conducted to identify causes. Cases were interviewed using a standardized in-person form …

  • Compliments and compliment responses in Kunming Chinese

    Open Access•Yi Yuan•ARTICLE•Pragmatics Quarterly Publication…•2022

This article describes the way compliments and compliment responses are executed in Kunming Chinese, a Mandarin dialect spoken in Kunming, China. By looking at data collected through DCT questionnaires and natural observations, the author examines the semantic formulas used in forming compliments and compliment responses and the syntactic patterns of compliments in the two types of data. It is found that explicit compliments are the most common f…

  • Crafted for Mass Production

Yi Yuan, Yuan Yi•ARTICLE•Technology and Culture•2022

Craft and mechanization are often cast as antithetical. This article questions the facile distinction by examining the customization and modification of American spinning machines to China's diverse local conditions, especially its varieties of cotton. It draws on machine manuals and contracts, engineering textbooks and journals, and correspondence between an American machine firm and its engineers in Shanghai. Engaging with the revisionist schol…

  • A TCM formula Vyac ameliorates DNCB-induced atopic dermatitis via blocking mast cell degranulation and suppressing NF-κB pathway

Open Access•Hai Rong Zeng, Bei Zhao et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2021

  • Proteomic Analysis of Preoperative CSF Reveals Risk Biomarkers of Postoperative Delirium

Open Access•Yongzheng Han, Wei Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2020

Objective: To analyze the proteome of preoperative cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in older orthopedic patients with or without postoperative delirium (POD) using untargeted proteomics. Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted. Eighty hip fracture patients aged ≥65 years were recruited. After successful spinal anesthesia, CSF was collected. The patients were divided into POD and No-POD groups based on the Confusion Assessment Method, and patie…

  • Application of Well Drainage on Treating Seepage-Induced Reservoir Landslides

Open Access•Zongxing Zou, Sha Lu et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2020

In the process of rapid drawdown of reservoir water level, the seepage force in the slide mass is an important factor for the stability reduction and deformation increment of many landslides in the reservoir areas. It is feasible to improve the stability of seepage-induced landslide by employing a drainage well to reduce or eliminate the water head difference that generates the seepage force. In this paper, the Shuping landslide, a typical seepag…

  • Network pharmacology-based analysis on bioactive anti-diabetic compounds in Potentilla discolor bunge

Open Access•Niannian Wang, Feifei Zhu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2019

  • Evaluating the Effect of a Novel Molluscicide in the Endemic Schistosomiasis Japonica Area of China

Open Access•Jing Xia, Yi Yuan et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2014

Oncomelania hupensis is the sole intermediate host snail of Schistosoma japonicum in China. Snail control by molluscicide remains one of the most effective measures of schistosomiasis japonica control. A 50% wettable powder of niclosamide ethanolamine salt (WPN) is widely used for snail control in China. However, WPN is costly and toxic to fish. A novel molluscicide named LDS, the salt of quinoid-2', 5-dichloro-4'-nitrosalicylanilide from niclosa…
