Since April 1994, a study of the suspended sediment load of the Isere River has been in progress. It has been carried out using an automatic pump-sampler, set on a 12-hour sampling interval. Since May, 1995, a conductivity probe has measured the changes in dissolved solid load at half-hourly intervals.
