This study used data from the Survey on Early Learning and Child Care Arrangements (SELCCA) and the Longitudinal Immigration Database (IMDB) to examine patterns of child care use among Canadian immigrant and nonimmigrant families. Overall, children from immigrant backgrounds were less likely to be in child care. Over the past two decades, Chinese rural architecture has experienced dramatic changes through the Building the Chinese Socialist New Village movement. Trends in Parental Time Allocated to Child Care
This study finds a continuous and dramatic increase in parental time spent in child care in Canada from 1986 to 2010. Decomposition of the increase shows that it occurs within demographic groups and does not reflect demographic changes. In addition, an increased dispersion in child care time is observed that reflects changes in time allocation within demographic groups rather than demographic changes. Short-Term Effects of Meteorological Factors and Air Pollutants on Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease among Children in Shenzhen, China, 2009–2017
Temperature, relative humidity, sunshine duration, rainfall, ozone and NO 2 were significantly associated with HFMD, and such effects varied with gender age and childcare patterns. These findings highlight the need for more prevention effort to the vulnerable populations and may be helpful for developing an early environment-based warning system for HFMD
