    Open Access•Jürgen Schaflechner, Max Kramer•ARTICLE•Dialectical Anthropology•2024•Referencias: 33

We explore the tactics of becoming visible and their relationship to alleviating or exacerbating precarious forms of life for minorities in South Asia. These tactics emerge from and respond to three interdependent moments: The frames that define how minorities can become visible, the interplay between limits and thresholds of visibility, and how capture fragments articulations and makes them easy to appropriate

  • Mobilizing Conflict Testimony

    Open Access•Max Kramer•ARTICLE•Social Sciences•2017•Citada por: 3•Referencias: 37

In this paper I introduce a lens of mobility for the study of documentary film practices and gender in zones of conflict. By drawing on my qualitative research regarding the practice of the independent filmmaker Iffat Fatima, I will argue that a lens of mobility helps to grasp highly mobile media practices both conceptually and methodologically. Through a lens of mobility, my focus lies on the potential of documentary film to open the imaginative…
